Punta Espada, the first of three Jack Nicklaus Signature courses located in Cap Cana, was selected by the prestigious and recognized American magazine Golfweek, like the best golf course of the Caribbean and Mexico in its last ranking published in the edition of November of the 2008, reaching the first position of this prestigious annual list and confirming that is the best golf course in the Region.

Bradley S. Klein, recognized writer in golf courses subject/ issue around the world, describes in the article that one of the special characteristics of this impressive golf course is that it incorporates the paradisiac atmosphere of the surroundings in his route by the 18 holes, from which they are possible to be contemplated the immensity of the sea, being 8 of them in front of the ocean.

This spectacular scene will be again SEDE from March 23 until March 29 of 2009 of one of the stop of the PGA TOUR's Champions Tour- “The Cap Cana Championship”, event celebrated for the first time with great success in the Dominican Republic in 2008, and where it is predict it will return to be an inescapable appointment for the all the lovers of golf or golf enthusiasm.
